Optimist Dinghy

On the 3rd of September 2010, my group and I were asked to create a little project based on what our reading task was. As you can you see on the left is a picture of an Optimist Dinghy. This is what we were asked to do. We were asked to use Comic Life to design our little project. So hope you like it.

List the things that have to be checked:

- When you sail you must always have your
boat or dinghy facing the wind.
- If you are wearing a lifejacket you have to make sure that it is fully on and that your zip has benn ziped on.
- Always check the weather.
- Have you got the bailer tied in because if
you dont then if your boat gets filled up with water, what are you going to use to scoop out the water that is in your boat.
- Last but not least the drain plugs.
Always check if the drain plugs are in. Why? As I said before about water filling up your bPrProxy-Connection: keep-alive

t. Well instead of using a scoop to scoop out the water you can actually use a drain plug to stop the water filling your boat.

Thanks for reading.

My Mihi

In class my Teacher Miss Tito asked if we could write our own Mihi for every morning. Why? because every morning Miss Tito would ask if there is someone that would like to share there Mihi and the other reason why we are doing Mihi's because it is a part of Te Reo Maori, and to practise how confident we are. So when I get chosen to the Mihi I would say=

Ka tangi te titi
Ka tangi te kaka
Ka tang hoki ahau
Tiheiwa Mauriora

He mihi whanui tenei kia tatou katoa kia koe te rangatira e

No reira tena koutou tena koutou tena ra tatou katoa

Samoa Rocks

Hi Im Mui and I am Samoan. My village in Samoa is Savaii - Salelologa. As you dont know, I havnt been to Samoa. My whole family has but except me and as you all know there was a Tsunami that hit Samoa. The Tsunami hit Lalomanu and Poutasi beach. My family and I are very lucky. Why? because the Tsunami didnt hit Salelologa. If it had did my whole family would be crying hard out but no they are not. For those who have lost there families or friends from the Tsunami I am very sorry. I hope that you all are all - allright coping with this awful tragedy but may you all be all - right and for those who cleaned up the mess in Samoa thankyou very much.

Graphics is Fabulous

In Graphics we have been using Adobe Illustrator
to draw our designs. We used the shape tool and the pencil tool to draw our designs. We also used the linear and Radial Gradient tools fill our designs with colour and have made our lettering go round in a circle by using the text on a path tool. Our Graphic teacher is Miss Ferguson. She is amazing and good at drawing and her dance moves at Tech is cool.

A Little info about Rangitoto

Rangitoto is the youngest volcanoe and has had the biggest eruption ever. Rangitoto erupted about 600 - 800 years ago and continued for the next decade. Maori people living on Motutapu Island at the time must of thought that the end of the world had arrived but no. Another name for Rangitoto is Bloody sky and Rangitotos full name is Te Rangi i totongia a Tama - Te - Kapu.
